How about the USA Women’s National Team winning the first place trophy on Sunday!! Watching these women live out their passions reminds us of the determination and grit it takes to be successful both on the field and in the workplace.
The World Cup matches have woven together a narrative of courageous women who can achieve their dreams, and brands are weaving this story into their media campaigns. Nike, always an advertising guru when it comes to sports, took the spotlight this year for the FIFA Women’s World Cup. Their Dream Further campaign has taken the initiative as a chance to inspire women.

The 2019 Women’s World Cup involved 24 teams made up of women who were fighting for the same goal. Many women I know, including myself, are lucky enough to be surrounded in the workplace by a team of women who are excellent team-players and collaborators. As an intern in an agency who’s executive team is half female, this provides a strong “if you can see it you can do it” message. With over 46% of the workforce in America comprised of women, brands like Nike can continue to make their mark through ads targeted at this audience.
